ABSTRACT:
A method for producing a yarn reserve, in particular on a cross wound package carried on a bobbin former which has an end which projects beyond the package. A groove is provided in the end portion for securing the yarn as the yarn is wrapped therearound before being brought back over the surface of the package for producing a yarn end reserve.
