ABSTRACT:
A process is disclosed for providing benzazepine intermediates of the formulae ##STR1## wherein R.sub.3, R.sub.4 and Y are as defined herein, which intermediates are useful in a process for the preparation of pharmaceutically useful benzazepine derivatives.
