ABSTRACT:
Peroxide compounds are prepared by contacting and reacting a reactive aluminum, i.e., highly pure aluminum permeated with a metal having an atomic volume close to hydrogen, e.g., mercury, indium or gallium, with the combination of hydrogen peroxide and a carboxylic acid. These compounds are useful in detergents and as catalysts.
