ABSTRACT:
A process for the preparation of a 2,3-epoxyamide of the formula ##STR1## in which R.sup.1 represents hydrogen or straight-chain or branched C.sub.1 -C.sub.8 -alkyl, which may be substituted by phenyl or halogen, or represents C.sub.3 -C.sub.7 -cycloalkyl, phenyl, C.sub.1 -C.sub.8 -alkoxycarbonyl, or a group of the formula ##STR2## in which R.sup.4 and R.sup.5 are identical or different and denote hydrogen, phenyl, benzyl, acetyl or C.sub.1 -C.sub.8 -alkyl which is optionally substituted by phenyl or halogen,
