ABSTRACT:
A method and apparatus are disclosed for forming a substantially aligned and uniform stack of flat articles (for example, food products such as sliced sausage products) from a non-uniform stack. The first stack is positioned between at least a pair of stack engaging members which are movable in the same direction, but at different speeds, to converge gradually and engage the articles, thereby moving the articles into a substantially aligned and uniform stack.
