ABSTRACT:
The present invention provides dyes markedly excellent as sensitizing dyes for silver halide photographic light-sensitive materials. Said dyes are represented by the following formula (I): ##STR1## wherein R.sub.1 and R.sub.2 may be identical or different and each represents an alkyl group, an aralkyl group, an alkenyl group or an aryl group, R.sub.3 represents a heterocyclic group, Z.sub.1 and Z.sub.2 may be identical or different and each represents a group of atoms necessary to form a 5- or 6-membered nitrogen-containing heterocyclic ring, X represents a counter ion, L.sub.1 to L.sub.5 each represents a methine group, and m and n each represents 0, 1 or 2.
