ABSTRACT:
The photoconductor for electrophotography comprises a novel hydrazone compound as a charge transporting substance. The hydrazone compound is represented by the following general formula: ##STR1## wherein, R.sub.1 stands for a hydrogen atom, a halogen atom, a hydroxy group, an alkoxy group or a nitro group, each of R.sub.2, R.sub.3 and R.sub.4 stands for an aryl group, an alkyl group, an aralkyl group, each of which may have a substituent(s), and at least one of R.sub.2, R.sub.3 and R.sub.4 stands for a thenyl group which may have a substituent.
