ABSTRACT:
Compounds having the formula I ##STR1## and their pharamaceutically acceptable acid addition salts, wherein R.sub.1 is hydrogen or lower alkyl, A is a direct bond or lower alkylene and R.sub.2 is pyridinyl or pyridinyl monosubstituted by lower alkyl, are useful as anti-ulcer agents and, in the case where A is a direct bond, as anti-secretory agents.
