ABSTRACT:
A shutter release device for a camera including a shutter release mechanism which is mechanically released. The shutter release device is provided with a release rod which is pushed down to operated a shutter of the camera, a delay member moved by a predetermined distance relative to the release member to release the shutter, a restraint mechanism and a restraint release mechanism. The shutter release mechanism is controlled by the delay member. The restraint mechanism has an engaging leg formed on the delay member and a restraint projection formed on a base plate, and the engaging leg is engaged with the projection to restrain movement of the delay member. The release restraint mechanism has a release slant formed on the release rod and engaged with the engaging leg to deform the leg so that it is released by the restraint projection.
