ABSTRACT:
A securement device provides securement attachment of a catheter fitting to the skin of a patient, while allowing convenient disengagement of the catheter fitting from the securement device. This allows a health care provide the ability to replace the fluid supply tubes connected to the fitting without removing the securement device. The securement device also ensures the that components of the catheter fitting remain tightly connected to prevent accidental disengagement of the catheter from the fitting.
