ABSTRACT:
A silver halide photographic element comprising a magenta dye forming coupler and a compound of formula (A) associated with the coupler: ##STR1## wherein: each R.sup.20 independently represents an alkyl, alkenyl, or heteroaryl group;
Ar represents an aryl or heteroaryl group. Photographic elements of the present invention exhibit low thermal pinking, while still having good image stability and hue.
