Novel copolymers of .epsilon.-caprolactone and glycolide useful in making surgical articles and particularly surgical sutures having Young's modulus of less than 350,000 psi. New and improved polymerization methods for producing the novel .epsilon.-caprolactone and glycolide copolymers.
