ABSTRACT:
Disclosed herein is a water-based ink for ink-jet recording, comprising a reaction product between a monosaccharide, disaccharide or polysaccharide and a reactive dye, wherein the monosaccharide has 1 to 3 primary amino groups, 1 to 3 secondary amino groups or 1 to 3 quaternary ammonium groups, the disaccharide has 1 to 3 primary amino groups, 1 to 3 secondary amino groups or 1 to 3 quaternary ammonium group, and the polysaccharide has a weight average moleculare weight of at most 4,000.
