ABSTRACT:
In a gas bearing, a plurality of axially spaced circumferential annular grooves are provided for a bearing or a rotary shaft supported thereby. The annular grooves are located near opposite ends of the bearing and connected to a source of pressurized gas through a plurality of angularly spaced gas supply ports.
