ABSTRACT:
A bottle used for housing an emergency water ration which is made of high density polyethylene. The material of the bottle is stabilized with UV light. After filling the bottle with water it is sterilized under high pressure conditions in a water bath at a temperature of 120.degree. C. for at least 10 minutes and cooled by means of compressed air. The body of the bottle has a side ratio equal to 1:0.6:0.4 with all sides containing round edges. The bottom surface has a concave configuration. Such a bottle is completely undeformable and may be dropped into the water without damage from a height of 36 m. The water in the bottle has a lifetime longer than 5 years.
