ABSTRACT:
A process is disclosed for the preparation of p-nitrosodiphenylamine hydrochloride comprising reacting diphenylamine, C.sub.5 -C.sub.10 alkyl nitrite and anhydrous HCl in the presence of a C.sub.5 -C.sub.10 aliphatic alcohol and essentially in the absence of an aromatic solvent.
