ABSTRACT:
Alpha-pinene is catalytically isomerized to beta-pinene in the presence of a neutralized alumina-supported catalyst. The neutralization treatment of the alumina-supported catalyst is performed with a salt or hydroxide of an alkali metal or alkaline earth metal.
