ABSTRACT:
A pressure-sensitive recording material is described, comprising an electron-accepting compound, and at least one of electron-donating colorless dyes represented by formula (I) or formula (II) ##STR1## wherein R.sub.1, R.sub.2, R.sub.3, R.sub.4, R.sub.5, R.sub.6, R.sub.7, and R.sub.8 each represents a hydrogen atom, a lower alkyl group, a lower alkenyl group, a lower alkoxy group, or a halogen atom; and R.sub.9 and R.sub.10 each represents a hydrogen atom or a lower alkyl group, provided that at least one of R.sub.1, R.sub.2, R.sub.3, and R.sub.4 represents a lower alkyl group or a lower alkenyl group.
