ABSTRACT:
The present invention provides a method of alleviating one or more menstrual symptoms in a woman comprising administering to said woman in need of treatment an effective amount of a compound having the formula ##STR1## wherein R.sup.1 and R.sup.3 are independently hydrogen, --CH.sub.3, --CO--(C.sub.1 -C.sub.6 alkyl), or --CO--Ar in which Ar is optionally substituted phenyl; and
