ABSTRACT:
A process for the destruction of biological waste products comprises the steps of heating said waste products in a sealed chamber, e.g. at 600.degree. C.-850.degree. C., to volatize volatiles and to pyrolyze non-voltatiles and producing an output stream comprising gas with residual biological matter entrained therein followed by treating said output stream with molten aluminum thereby effecting chemical reduction by reaction with the aluminum and producing innocuous effluent.
