ABSTRACT:
A method is disclosed for making a silica molecular sieve comprising:
(A) providing a mixture comprising: water; an oxide, hydroxide or alkoxide of silicon; a mineralizing agent; and a synthesis directing nitrogen containing organic dye; and
(B) maintaining said mixture at a temperature of about 80.degree. C. to about 300.degree. C. for an effective period of time to provide said silica molecular sieve.
