ABSTRACT:
A yarn article comprising a tetrafluoroethylene polymer is disclosed which has a specific bulk density, a specific orientation degree in an axial direction and a specific crystallinity and exhibits specific peaks in the thermogram of differential scanning calorimetry. The yarn article has excellent tensile strength at break and excellent tensile modulus of elasticity as well as inertness to chemicals. Therefore, the yarn article of the present invention can advantageously be used as a material for producing a woven fabric, a knit, a rope and the like, particularly in the field where not only chemical resistance but also high tensile strength and high tensile modulus of elasticity are required.
