ABSTRACT:
A transducer system for a stringed musical instrument having a first electrically conductive member, a plurality of piezoelectric transducers each adapted to be aligned with an instrument string and each having one and another side, and a second electrically conductive member. The first and second electrically conductive members are disposed on opposite sides of the piezoelectric transducers. The electrically conductive members and piezoelectric transducers are arranged in an elongated unitary structure. A conductive shield is disposed about the unitary structure and electrical leads connect to the respective electrically conductive members.
