ABSTRACT:
A rubber composition having good breaking properties, high tan.delta., good wear resistance and a method for preparing a copolymer used in the rubber composition. The copolymer is a butadiene-styrene copolymer prepared in the presence of an organopotassium compound, an oxolanyl alkane and an organolithium initiator compound. The copolymer may be modified. A vulcanite of the rubber composition including 20 parts or more of the copolymer of the present invention has good properties.
