Disclosed are colored compositions useful for molding into articles such as food containers, beverage bottles, cured structural plastics and the like comprising condensation polymer having reacted therewith or copolymerized therein a coloring amount of the residue of a colorant compound having the formula; ##STR1## wherein R.sup.1 is ##STR2## carbonyl halide or an unsubstituted or substituted carbocyclic or hetrocyclic aryl radical;
