ABSTRACT:
A dye-donor element for thermal dye transfer comprising a support having thereon a dye layer comprising a dye dispersed in a polymeric binder, the dye layer also containing at least one particulate polypropylene wax having an average particle size less than about 30 .mu.m and having a melting point above about 125.degree. C. Use of the particulate wax minimizes various printing defects without reducing gloss.
