ABSTRACT:
Alkali metal or alkaline earth metal terminated rubbery polymers are reacted with monofunctional hydrocarbyl organometal compounds in which the metal is selected from Groups 2b, 4a, and 5a and which contain either halogen, --OR, --SR, or --N(R).sub.2. The resulting rubbery polymers have improved physical properties in gum or filled stocks.
