Ketonimine dyes of the formula selected from: ##STR1## wherein X.crclbar. is a chloride, bromide, thiocyanate, sulfamate, formate, acetate, lactate, hydrogen sulfate or dihydrogen phosphate ion; and ##STR2## wherein Y is a sulfate or hydrogen phosphate ion are hydrosulfite bleachable dyes for paper.
