A synchronizing signal generator for a PAL-TV (television) signal processing system has a pulse oscillator which produces a pulse with the frequency n.multidot.f.sub.sc in which f.sub.sc is the frequency of a color subcarrier signal and n is an integer selected to satisfy the following relation:
