ABSTRACT:
An apparatus and process thereof is disclosed of a partially reflecting optical element having a succession of dielectric layers of high and low refraction alternated on a substrate which is transparent to the longer wavelength of infrared radiation. The succession of layers is an anti-reflection layer for wavelengths of infrared radiation .lambda..sub.L and is a relfective layer for visible wavelengths .lambda..sub.K.
