ABSTRACT:
The present invention provides 7-deaza-2'-deoxy-guanosine nucleotides of the general formula: ##STR1## wherein R is a --PO.sub.3 H.sub.2, --P.sub.2 O.sub.6 H.sub.3 or --P.sub.3 O.sub.9 H.sub.4 residue or an alkali metal, alkaline earth metal or ammonium salt of the phosphate groups.
The present invention also provides processes for the preparation of these nucleotides and is also concerned with the use thereof in the sequencing of DNA.
