ABSTRACT:
The invention provides novel 2,3,6 substituted quinazolinones having the formula ##STR1## wherein R, R.sup.5, R.sup.6, R.sup.7, R.sup.8 and X are described in the specification which have activity as angiotensin II (AII) antagonists.
