ABSTRACT:
A silver halide photographic material comprising a support having at least one light-sensitive silver halide emulsion layer on the support, wherein at least one of the emulsion layer and other constituent layers contains at least one compound represented by formula (I) and at least one compound represented by formula (II): ##STR1## wherein R.sub.0 is an organic group having 7 to 30 carbon atoms, A is a substituted or unsubstituted phenylene group, or a substituted or unsubstituted naphthylene group, and X is NH or 0, ##STR2## wherein R.sub.1 is an aliphatic, aromatic or heterocyclic group; R.sub.2 is a hydrogen atom, a substituted or unsubstituted alkyl group, a substituted or unsubstituted aralkyl group, a substituted or unsubstituted alkoxy group, a substituted or unsubstituted aryl group, a substituted or unsubstituted aryloxy group, or a substituted or unsubstituted amino group; G is a carbonyl group, a sulfonyl group, a sulfoxy group, a phosphoryl group, or an N-substituted or unsubstituted iminomethylene group (NH.dbd.C<); R.sub.10 and R.sub.100 are both hydrogen atoms, or one or R.sub.10 and R.sub.100 is a hydrogen atom and the other is a substituted or unsubstituted alkylsulfonyl group, a substituted or unsubstituted arylsulfonyl group, or an acyl group; and G, R.sub.2, R.sub.100 and the nitrogen atom to which G, R.sub.2 and R.sub.100 are linked may form a partial structure of hydrazone (--N.dbd.C<), provided that the compound represented by formula (II) is not the same with the compound represented by formula (I), and the total number of carbon atoms of R.sub.1 and R.sub.2 is 14 to 60.
