ABSTRACT:
An image-receiving material comprises a support and an image-receiving layer characterized in that the image-receiving layer contains a hardening agent being capable of polymerizing a polymerizable compound without necessity of external energy. The hardening agent is ethylenediamine, propylenediamine, 1,3-diamino-2-hydroxypropane, 1,3-trimethylenediamine, N,N'-dimethylethylenediamine, 1,4-diaminobutane, hexamethylenediamine, diethylenetriamine, triethylenetetraamine, ##STR1## polyethleneimine, polyallylamine, poly-L-lysine, poly-L-ornithine, NaO.sub.2 S--CH.sub.2 CH.dbd.CHCH.sub.2 SO.sub.2 Na or an alkali metal salt of polyvinylbenzenesulfinic acid. The image-forming method comprises: imagewise exposing to light a light-sensitive material comprising a support and a light-sensitive layer containing a photopolymerization initiator and a polymerizable compound; and pressing the light-sensitive material on the image-receiving material to transfer the unpolymerized polymerizable compound to the image-receiving layer.
