A toner for developing an electrostatic image comprising at least a colorant and a binder resin,
characterized in that the main component of the binder resin is a polyester resin, and the polyester resin is containing a polymer prepared by reacting a polyester oligomer and at least one compound selected form the group consisting of long chain alcohols and long chain carboxylic acids which have 12 or more carbon atoms.
