ABSTRACT:
A nonreducing dielectric ceramic composition. A main component includes oxides of Ba, Ca, Mg, Sr, Ce, Ti and Zr, and in the general formula represented by (Ba.sub.l-m-n-o Sr.sub.l Ca.sub.m Mg.sub.n Ce.sub.o).sub.q (Ti.sub.1-p Zr.sub.p)O.sub.3. In this formula l, m, n, o, p and q satisfy the relationships, 0.05.ltoreq.l.ltoreq.0.30, 0.005.ltoreq.m.ltoreq.0.22, 0.0005.ltoreq.n.ltoreq.0.05, 0.0005.ltoreq.o.ltoreq.0.02, 0.ltoreq.p.ltoreq.0.20, 1.002.ltoreq.q.ltoreq.l.03. The composition includes between 0.02 to 2.0 mole % of one or more of the following oxides MnO.sub.2, Fe.sub.2 O.sub.3, Cr.sub.2 O.sub.3 and CoO.
