ABSTRACT:
The present invention provides a novel drug for treating glaucoma.
The present invention relates to a therapeutic agent for glaucoma and an ocular hypotensive agent, which comprise an aminoalkoxybibenzyl represented by the formula (I): ##STR1## wherein R.sup.1 represents a hydrogen atom, a C.sub.1 -C.sub.5 alkoxy group, etc.; R.sup.2 represents a hydrogen atom, a halogen atom, etc.; R.sup.3 represents a hydrogen atom, a hydroxyl group, --O--CO--(CH.sub.2).sub.I --COOH (wherein I is an integer of 1 to 3), etc.; and R.sup.4 represents --NR.sup.5 R.sup.6 (wherein R.sup.5 and R.sup.6 independently represent a hydrogen atom or a C.sub.1 -C.sub.8 alkyl group), etc.
or a salt thereof as an active ingredient.
