ABSTRACT:
Vinylsilylalkoxy arylbenzotriazol monomers such as 2-[3'-t-butyl-5'-(3-"-dimethylvinylsilylpropoxy)-2'-hydroxy-phenyl]-5-meth oxybenzotriazole are disclosed. These monomers can be incorporated in optically clear silicone polymers to form intraocular lenses, contact lenses, and the like, which have UV absorbing properties.
