ABSTRACT:
A process for mitigating the secondary aldosteronism and potassium depletion induced by diuretic therapy involving oral administration, either simultaneously or sequentially with the diuretic, of 4.alpha.,5-epoxy-17.beta.-hydroxy-3-oxo-5.alpha.-androstane-2.alpha.-carbo nitrile; and a composition comprising a diuretic and said steroid compound.
