ABSTRACT:
Titanium nitride-base sintered alloys having high thermal shock resistance and high durability against high speed continuous cutting can be obtained by mixing a specifically limited amount of carbon with a basic powdery raw material mixture composed of TiN, Mo and/or Mo.sub.2 C and an iron family metal, molding the resulting mixture and sintering the molded article. When not more than 50% by weight of the amount of TiN contained in the raw material mixture is replaced by at least one of TiC, WC and TaC, the sintering temperature can be lowered.
