ABSTRACT:
Resin-forming polyepoxides are mixed with polyoxazolidinyl compounds or polymers containing pendant oxazolidinyl groups in which the carbon atom in the 2-position of the heterocyclic ring is substituted with saturated hydrocarbon groups, such as dialkyl, or with an alkylene group forming a saturated ring with the carbon atom in the 2-position of the oxazolidinyl ring to form, in the absence of water, a stable composition which can be stored in closed containers for months without undergoing gelation. When such compositions are spread into films and the films exposed to moisture at ambient temperature, e.g., to ambient air having a relative humidity of at least 20% and temperature of about 15.degree. to 25.degree. C., the polymer serves to react with and cure the polyepoxide.
