ABSTRACT:
A method and apparatus for controlling a fault-state displaying means of subscriber's card in a switching system. The subscriber's card has a plurality of subscriber's ports, a plurality of lamps, a decoder for controlling the lamps in response to a control unit executing a fault diagnostic function on each port. The apparatus, and method therefore, is capable of displaying a fault-state irrespective of the number of lamps for displaying the fault-state and a type of fault diagnostic function, and recording the fault-state detected for each port. To carry out a spirit of the invention, the subject comprises a first stage for recording a fault-state generated from the subscriber's card and a second stage for controlling a plurality of lamps for displaying the fault-state.
