ABSTRACT:
This invention relates to a magnetic recording medium having on a non-magnetic support a magnetic layer comprising a ferromagnetic powder dispersed in a binder, in which the magnetic layer contains a compound represented by the following general formula (I), ##STR1## wherein R represents a residual radical of trimethylolethane, trimethylolpropane or pentaerythritol, R' represents a residual radical of a fatty acid having at least 5 carbon atoms and n represents an integer of 2 to 4.
