ABSTRACT:
Cobalt salts have been found to be particularly effective againstH. pyloriand may therefore be used to treat gastrointenstinal infection with this bacteria. The cobalt salts have the advantage of showing a good degree of selectivity forH. pyloriover other Gram positive and Gram negative bacteria. Treatment with the cobalt salts may be carried out at the same time as conventional treatment with an antibiotic and/or a proton pump inhibitor.
