ABSTRACT:
A process for preparing 1,1,1,3,3-pentafluoropropane from a hydrochlorocarbon of the formula C.sub.3 H.sub.y Cl.sub.x, wherein x is an integer from 3 to 5, y is an integer from 1 to 3, x+y=4, 6, or 8, and x-y=2 is provided.
