An organic photoconductor comprising an electrically conducting support, a charge generation layer containing dibromoanthanthrone and a charge transport layer containing a di- or triarylmethane compound of the formula: ##STR1## wherein R.sup.1 represents hydrogen or an optionally substituted alkyl, alkenyl, cycloalkyl, cycloalkenyl, aralkyl or aryl radical;
