ABSTRACT:
An air vent10for a vehicle air ventilation system and which comprises a housing11having an air inlet12and an air outlet13, an air flow control valve15located in the inlet12, and a screen17comprising a plurality of slats18–21located in the outlet13. The slats are moveable by a control wheel28from a closed condition, in which air flow through the outlet13is impeded, to an open condition allowing air flow through the outlet13, the control wheel28also operating the valve15to permit the flow of air prior to opening the slats, the air flow passing through slots22in at least some of the slats.
